Rotoscoping in Sony Vegas

Lightsaber Rotoscoping Tutorial

ThunderCats the Movie

I am really not a Thundercats fan but I know I regularly watched it together with my cousins when we were young. For the fans I wish that this trailer wasn't fan made and that the film is currently under development with Brad Pitt as the Lion-O and Vin Deisel as Panthero - unfortunately it is.

If I didn't recognized the scene from Troy, this fan made trailer almost looks the real deal. The creator of this fan video has extensively used rotoscoping to cut out actors from scenes and put them in another environment. He has also used rotoscoping to give Brad and Vin Deisel their seemingly Thundercats get-up.

I hope you enjoy the video as much as I did. Ciao.

Juno Opening Sequence

You can also view some behind-the-scenes pictures of Juno's opening sequence.

Making Porn Safe using Rotoscoping

This ad is directed for the upcoming Diesel XXX party by Keith Schofield and animated by Big Animal. This spot is amazingly entertaining and is guaranteed to leave you either appalled or laughing your heads off.

Take On Me - The Literal Version

This video has been virally spread online. This is A-Ha's Take on Me video which has been a notable example of rotoscoping. The video is the same however the lyrics is totally twisted. Pretty funny.

When A Scanner Darkly Meets Charles Schwab

Charles Schwab commercials are really drawing a lot of negative reaction.

"There is simply no reason for them to use that style of animation in a commercial like this. It's an awful ad campaign and completely distracting from the message they're trying to get across to the viewer". - imockery

Since Charles Schwab's commercials were inspired from Richard Lanklater's films, the video is actually a remix of both.
